A short list of things I’ve learnt this week

10 Jan

1) Cooking bread in a steam oven isn’t really a good idea, unlike jam roly poly, which works marvellously.

2) Manuka is the Maori word for the tea tree plant.

3) If a geyser erupts in your kitchen, you need to move house.

4) Feijoa is an acquired taste. I haven’t acquired it.

5) The Daily Mail cannot be beaten for Royal Wedding coverage.

6) The bit of the glow worm that glows is it’s poo.

Feijoa needs to be quite soft. It should taste and feel like a ripe guava. I can’t imagine anyone not liking feijoas! 🙂
