Thursday was the last day of school. As we set off in the morning, the children were in high spirits. They had lovely last days, their friends and teachers made lots of fuss and sent them home with armfuls of thoughtful cards and good luck messages.
I’m sad to be saying goodbye to such a great school. They have been very supportive of our travel plans and provided lots of information about the curriculum and advice on reapplication. We can only hope that our applications will be successful and are able to return in September.
So now the road schooling begins. It can’t be that hard, can it?
I do wish you all a great adventure….enjoy it all and return full of memories and new knowledge…
Thank you 🙂
Oh yes, he is noise with muck on, just like Mini!
I keep thinking of that expression, it’s a perfect description. We were on the tube today and he got filthy within minutes then commented loudly on a kissing couple!
LOL!! I’m sure you have a whole stack of postcards prepared to keep you in their thoughts 😉 xx
Have you seen them?!
It’s piece of cake – I keep telling you!!
I believe you, I think. I’ll get back to you on that one in a couple of months…
Wow I bet that made everything seem so real, it is going to be so amazing for you all xx
It really did!
You can always use me as the person with the red pen!!
I might just do that!
You’ll have a blast, can’t wait to read about it. (Think I’ve said that a million times)
BTW, before you go, could you read and record all of Roald Dahl’s books please? I could listen to your voice all day long.

If I ever get my stupid flip software sorted, you’ll hear lots of my voice as I’m vlogging for a new iTV channel every week…
It’s the start of such an amazing adventure (and I expect they’ll learn so much more while they are away), and regarding returning to the same school – what will be, will be. Can’t wait to hear all about it. Not long now!
Road schooling is easy as… Check BBC bitesize if you haven’t already — http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks1bitesize//.
Also, I’d seriously consider unschooling… There’s some stuff on my site about it, and it’s working brilliantly for us…
I love the BBC website. And unschooling really appeals. But we want our children to go back to school in nine months and not be behind. So we won’t be doing loads and loads of schooling, just a little maths.
