Spring!

1 Mar

The sun is shining, the back door is open and spring has definitely sprung in primary-school-land.  At Eve’s school, they are nurturing teeny trout for eventual release into our local river, The Wandle.

Ned’s classroom is currently home to an incubator full of fluffy chicks much to the delight of everyone, teachers included.  We are not sure where they are heading next, but I suspect snakes may be involved, so we’d better not dwell too long on that topic.

Dickon is learning about the life cycle of the frog, as he demonstrates in my vlogging debut…

Let’s hope the weather gods continue to look favourably upon us. For a few days at least.

Clever you, learning about vlogging. And frogs. Probably best not to dwell on the snake’s culinary habits though; nature, very cruel at times.

Of course, the five year old boy, who thinks the chicks are adorable etc, isn’t bothered about what happens to them. Infact, I think he’d probably LIKE to see them being fed to a snake.

Thank you. I know, I keep thinking, now we’ll be in the departure lounge etc. Hopefully it’ll just happen on the first of every month, not every day otherwise I’ll drive myself mad.
